In a fit of holiday cheer last night, I made a Christmas mix. Here’s how to make it your own in iTunes (Mac users instructions. I don’t have a PC in front of me, but can’t imagine it’s much different,).
1) Download this ZIP file and save it somewhere you can find it. Unzip it to see all the goodies inside the “xmasmix” folder.
2) Open up your iTunes and drag and drop all of the MP3 files into your Library.
3) Go to “File”, “Library” then “Import Playlist” in iTunes. Import the “Christmas.txt” file from the “xmasmix” folder.
4) Enjoy the holiday cheer, and thanks for being my internet friend!

I found under-apprectiated British band Idlewild’s 2007 release Make Another World in a crate of orphaned CDs and gave it a spin. This is the lead-off track, “In Competition For The Worst Time”.
